Technologies to suit your business
We manage hundreds of technologies and inventions created at UNSW in areas such as diagnostic
and therapeutic drugs, biomedical devices, solar cell technology, waste recycling and nanotechnology, just to name a few.
With many technologies being licenced for free, our portfolio is constantly changing,
so if you’re looking for something in particular that isn’t on our website, please contact us, it could be in our pipeline.
Leading a global movement
We were the first university in Australia, and one of the first in the world, to offer the majority of our research discoveries, inventions and intellectual property for free.
UNSW is also proudly leading the global movement and helping other universities all over the world establish the Easy Access IP approach.
Seven universities in Australia and 26 research organisations globally including CERN and
Kings College London, have adopted Easy Access IP.
Inventions at zero cost?
If you’re still asking yourself why we are offering inventions and intellectual property (IP) for free, it’s because it’s a terrible fact that about 80% of the inventions and intellectual property developed world-wide at universities never finds its way into productive use.
We just want university knowledge to be put to good use – so that it creates value and helps society!
‘One page’ agreements, with a University?
‘One Page’ agreements, with a University? Yes unbelievable but true, one, uno, einer!
UNSW Sydney is the first University in Australia to offer IP to the private sector to develop for free, with a simplified, 1 page agreement.
That’s why we call it ‘Easy-Access IP’.
