The Development Kit (SDK) is the most complete implementation of the JPEG2000 standard and enables software engineers to develop software applications for imaging, efficient data compression and interactivity. Kakadu Software™ has over 250 commercial licensees globally from a variety of industries from Digital Cinema (Sony, Disney) and gaming (Secondlife), to satellite imagery (GEOEYE) and defence (BAE, LMCO).
The Kakadu Software™ is also used for many public projects and research organisations such as the British Antarctic survey, the French National Library and NASA.
